I am here for this love story

Wednesday night on Bachelor in Paradise.
It’s the penultimate episode before the finale, and in this ep we see the families and closest friends crash Paradise. There’s nothing that brings the Fijian atmosphere crashing down like the Mum of your gf saying, “That’s a real dog act, actually. You’re a lyin’, cheatin’ dog.”
Strong words from Mama Kiki.
But does anyone really disagree with her?

Anyone? Source: Imgr
But first, the rose ceremony.
Brittney and Jackson rationally decide to leave Paradise together before the finale, as it’s too early days to fly their family over to Fiji. Sucks for the fam!
We all know meeting the fam is a Big Deal. So the commitment ceremony confirms whether it’s just a Paradise fling or something more serious. We see cute couples like Mary and Conor give each other a rose. They’ve been low-key super serious and I don’t think any of us realised just how loved up they were.
Alisha: “I am here for this love story.”
Meanwhile, Alisha and Glenn are SUPER cute, giggly etc. about each other and allegedly they are the only surviving couple to this day. That’s according to some sleuthing from Now to love so it’s pretty hard evidence if you ask me. However…Mary and Conor might give them a run for their money.
Mia and Scot approach the roses and she towers over him like an Amazonian woman. They make the call (or Scot does) about continuing their relationship on the outside, instead of flying over the family. The island ladies seemed a little alarmed by this, but Scot and Mia have literally known each other mere days before having to make this decision so really, what’s the alarm?
Can we also stop to mini-analyse the name spelling around here? Scot and Conor, whose names I’ve been spelling wrong the entire time until now, both use one ‘n’, not two. Then there’s Glenn and Timm, who go for the double consonant. So bizarre.
Anyway, as you were.
Kik and Ciarran are up next.
“I’ve had to constantly reassess my goalposts on what I’d accept in a relationship,” said Kiki.
“But because of your tenacity and how much you’ve wanted to prove to me that I was your priority, I am absolutely wrapped to be able to offer you my rose tonight,” she continued.

I don’t know what tenacity means but I hope it’s good. Source: Network 10.
Renee and Matt decide to take the next step together. Let’s hope she can fit into his Nitro Circus schedule! Matt’s Dad also arranges to drop into conversation with Renee’s parents about how, “Young beautiful girls are hanging off him” when he’s on tour. Great job Matt’s Dad!
We finally get to meet Glenn’s twin brother, Neil, and Alisha’s Mum gets to grill Glenn, which she finds difficult because he’s such a sweetheart. The only problems these guys seem to have is a city relocation post-Paradise.

Conor’s Mum is very sweet and it’s hard to find a dramatic angle to twist her words into something else. Looks like they’ve settled with ‘genuine mother’. Mary drops the ‘L’ word for the first time in front of Conor’s Mum, and all in all they’re very cute together.
Ciarran manages to survive the thorough, well-deserved dressing down from Kiki’s Mum. And his mate only flags up that Kiki needs to speak it to Ciarran about their issues.
Kiki confronts Ciarran about when he spent the night with his ex during Paradise.
“Is there any point where you thought I might find that out and be hurt by it?”
“Why would you be hurt by it?” is Ciarran’s response.

You are beyond help. Source: Network 10.
